Hello!
I hope that you have some idea what the answer is! I recently discussed just that at a workshop I hosted.
As an entrepreneur, I want to be able to have the freedom to pursue many different projects at the same time. I can only do that by setting myself up to be free from doing all the actual day to day processes myself. In that way, I can work on what builds my business and I won’t get bogged down in the minutia of everyday office work.
In the beginning, it’s likely that you will have to do a lot if not all of your own daily tasks, like checking email, answering phone calls and updating statuses on various social media websites. Eventually, we want to be able to step back from a lot of those things so that we can focus on what really generates revenue, the creative part of our business. Before that can happen, we need focus.
Focus is a big deal to me. I am easily distracted by shiny objects and staying focused on the tasks that I need to do in order to grow the business is not always easy. Sometimes I get bogged down in the email trap or wrapped up in a “fun” project and lose sight of my goals. In order to resist that pitfall, I have to frequently review my goals and check myself to see if I am on track. I have to pull out the map that I have created to reach my goal and see if I am still following it. Sometimes I need to correct course.
Of course, if you don’t have a goal or a map then it’s hard to tell if you are wandering or even lost. It’s important to gather your tools, get a destination and then map out your path to reaching it. In an effort to help you do that, I am creating the “Amazing” project. This series of videos is the beginning of the project. You can check them out on YouTube and see how you can become successful and realize your dreams too.

In these videos I have developed a step by baby step process to help you to design a plan. Soon I will be able to take the next step and get the book written. I plan to publish it this summer. As I continue the blog posts, I will have additional information on being an entrepreneur as well as creating your own business plan. I’ll also keep you posted on our plans and the “Amazing” project. I truly believe that we all have an “Amazing” that we can share with the world and I would love to help you to find yours!
